DBT Group Sessions and 1:1
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) began as the premiere treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder and grew to become a successful therapy for treating a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, mood swings, conflicted relationships, and addiction. DBT Is evidence based, which means it has been researched thoroughly by the professional psychological and scientific community. DBT is provided through individual therapy and skills groups. What makes DBT so uniquely effective are the skills taught (Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance) to better manage stress, fear, anger, sadness, addiction, and romantic obstacles. With DBT, clients learn to have more successful relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. At Affirmative Counseling Center, we have been “intensively trained” by Behavioral Tech Institute (run by Marsha Linehan who created DBT and her associates).
We accept most PPO insurance plans. Depending on the provider, fees start at $175 an hour without insurance for individual and $150 for group sessions with out insurance.
