For those of us who have experienced trauma, it can be scary to begin the therapeutic work of healing. I am a trauma informed therapist who meets clients where they are and doesn't push an agenda or a timeline for healing. You are in the driver's seat, and I am here to support your process. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), both highly effective and evidence-based modalities to treat trauma. I also treat substance use/abuse from a trauma perspective and work with parents, or intended parents, to create healthy parenting practices and heal from generational trauma.
Â
As a nonbinary (she/they), queer, and neurodiverse person and parent, I am passionate about supporting people in these communities, and I operate from a feminist, social justice framework. I approach therapy as a collaboration where authenticity is encouraged and trust is central.Â

Before becoming a therapist, I spent numerous years working full time in the area of sexual violence prevention education and crisis response. I have supported over 300 survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones, including children and elders, as they sought justice and healing for the traumas they experienced. I have a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley where I studied Political Economy and Gender and Women's Studies, a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from University of Illinois - Chicago, and a Master of Social Welfare from UCLA, where I concentrated in Child and Family Wellbeing. I look forward to connecting with you and can offer a free 30-minute consultation to see if we are good fit for working together.
